CLIFFORD, Margaret Patricia
With love and in the comfort of her own home of 63 years, surrounded by the caring embrace of her family, Margaret (nee Sherboneau), beloved wife of the late William Leo Clifford, daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (nee Dodds) Sherboneau, cherished mother of William Clifford (Judy) and Ann Marie Cornel (Herman), affectionately known as “Grandma”, “Margaret”, “Margaretta” to grandchildren: Ben, Victoria and Adam Clifford and Jodie, Logan and Clare Cornel, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 after a long and fulfilling life. Margaret is dearly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Margaret grew up on Garden Street in Gananoque, ON, with siblings: Bill, Donald, Eddie, Francis-Anthony, Freddie, Josephine (“Pudgy”), Louis, Robert (“Buster”) and Therese.
Respecting Margaret’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in ST. JAMES’ CHAPEL AT ST. MARY’S CATHEDRAL (279 Johnson Street at Clergy Street) on Wednesday, September 19 at 10:00 am. At Margaret’s request, the Rite of Committal with Prayers at St. Mary’s Cemetery will be observed by family members only. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston, in Mrs. Clifford’s memory.
