Dolan, Margaret Jean (Cowie) (nee Nelson)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom. Marg passed away peacefully with her children by her side on December 6, 2018 at PRHC, at the age of 81. Marg was the beloved wife of Tom for 35 years. Loving mother to Brian (Ellen), Gerard (Laure), Krista (Walter), Brad (Kate) and Ross (Karen). Cherished Grandmother of Bob (Stacey), Trisha, Katelyn (Ash), Justin (Genevieve), Ryan, Elora (Josh), Katie, Anna (AJ), Matt, Scott, Craig (Danica), Boyd, Kristopher, Kevin, Christina, Keyawna, Tyler, Aaron, and Abigail. Mom adored her 12 great grandchildren. Mom is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Grace (McCarthy) Nelson and her first husband Boyd Cowie. Treasured sister to Paul (Frances), Jane, Beth and Bob (Joanne). Mom will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Dear step-mother to Rebecca (Michael), Maureen (Jim), Theresa (Chris), Laura (John), and Tom Jr. and their families. A special thank you to Dr. Richard Binette for his friendship and trusted compassionate care for Mom over many years and to the PRHC staff (especially the Dialysis Unit) for their care and friendships. Visitation will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church 1830 Keene Road followed by interment at Hiawatha First Nation Cemetery, 211 Paudash Street. Reception at Assumption Hall following interment. In memory of Mom and the special place she held in her heart for Aaron, donations can be made to Community Living Peterborough.
