OBITUARY
Margaret Davey
September 23, 1930 – June 27, 2018
Peacefully passed away, with family by her side, on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in her 88th year. Survived by her brother David (Joyce) Davey. Beloved aunt of Molly (Lawrence) Buckaway, Peter (Kathleen) Ireland, David Ireland, Margaret (Gert) Andersen, and Jillian (Dave) Nicell. She will be lovingly remembered by several great-nieces and nephews in Scotland, England, Canada and the USA. Predeceased by her parents and 5 siblings.
Margaret was a volunteer with Community Kitchen and Out of the Cold and a member of St. Andrew’s United Church. She also served for 11 years in the Women’s Royal Army Corps in England and was a Drum Major of the WRAC Staff Band, traveling to Cyprus, North Africa, Germany, Holland, and most of the United Kingdom.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 10 – 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church, 5645 Morrison St. Niagara Falls (905-356-1624). A Memorial Service will be held in the church at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment to follow at St. David’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s United Church would be appreciated by the family.
