GOODWIN, Marcelle (née Renault)
1925-2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcelle on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at the age of 93. Wife of the late William Robert Goodwin of 63 years. Loving and devoted mother to Marc (Maureen), Patricia Duff (Gordon) and Anne Benson (David). Grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Andrea (Jeff), Jason, Lauren, Cheryl, Paul (Alethea), Jessica (Rob) and Jackie as well as her six great-grandchildren: Noelle, Gordie, Violet, Josephine, Malachy and Felix. Beloved sister of Dina, and brother Robert, and predeceased by brothers Oscar, Marc, and Louis.
Marcie’s memory will always be cherished by her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Marcie was very proud of graduating from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, as well as continuing education at Kent State University in Ohio and later obtaining her teaching degree in Quebec where she taught until retirement. Marcie truly enjoyed travel and as a family we are truly blessed that she was able to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2017 in Palm Springs with all twenty-three of the immediately family members.
The family wish to thank the staff at Stillwater Creek Retirement Community for the great care provided to Marcie over the years.

A Mass of Christian Funeral for Marcelle will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, Fallowfield (15 Steeple Hill Cres.) on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00am. Private internment to Pinecrest Cemetery, at a later date.
Memorial donations to Shepherds of Good Hope are appreciated.
