Obituary for Mr. Manuel Benevides Cordeiro

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father Manuel Benevides Cordeiro on Friday, December 29, 2017.
Manuel was born on March 26, 1927 in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal and came to Canada in 1960.
He worked for Northern Woods until retirement. Manuel loved to joke and make people laugh. He will be greatly missed.
Manuel is survived by his four children Joe (Isa), George (Sheri), Maria (Kerry) and Mario. He also leaves behind his many grandchildren as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maria Laurdes; his parents and brothers George, Laren and Manuel.
Funeral services for the late Mr. Manuel Cordeiro will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 with family and friends gathering in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM celebrated by Father Victor DeGagne. Interment will follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma, with Vigil Prayers offered at 7:00 PM.
