(lovingly known as Mom/Grammy/Minnie/Buttons)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn
Dunbar, age 65, at the DECH on December 6, 2018. She was the daughter
of the late Earl and Lillian Myshrall (Polchies) and is predeceased by
her sister, Yvonne.
She was an extremely proud member of Kingsclear First Nation,
serving in Council, for a number of years. As members of KFN will tell
you, she has had a strong and positive commitment to her community.
Lynn also loved volunteering at York Manor, especially in the
Alzheimer unit.
Lynn is survived by her husband of 45 years (Roger), her two
beloved sons Mark (Stephanie) and Ryan (Sarah), the love and light of
her life, her granddaughter Lily; sisters Diane Monkhouse (John) and
Barb Kelly of Fredericton, Pat McLeod (Bruce) of Saint John, Terri
Welch of Vancouver, and many cherished nieces/nephews and great
nieces/nephews. Lynn and Roger have an unofficial adopted daughter who
is their rock, Stephanie Ratelle.
Family, friends and community meant everything to Lynn. Her
home was always welcoming, her love and generosity were boundless and
her laughter contagious. Her cooking and baking brought joy, her
shopping skills were epic, her opinions and advice always direct and
truthful. She was an endless source of stories, traditions, and
proverbs and she meant everything to all of us. She will be deeply
missed but never forgotten.
The Family will receive visitation at Bishops Funeral Home,
540 Woodstock Rd. during the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday,
December 10 and a service at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic
Church, 603 Union St. on Tuesday, December 11 at 11:00 am with father
Martin Arputham officiating.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorials to the
Alzheimer Society, SPCA or to the charity of your
choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lynn Mary Meta Dunbar 19522018..
