OBITUARY
Lucille A. Mirvish
July 14, 1930 – November 9, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Angela Raccioppi DeGiglio Mirvish.
Lucille was 88 years old and passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, on Friday, November 9, 2018.
Loving wife of 44 years to author Robert Mirvish who predeceased her, Lucille is survived by her sons Anthony and John, grandchildren Benjamin, James, Matthew and Catherine, daughters in-law Paula and Claire, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Greenwich Village in New York City in 1930, Lucille was a true daughter of the Church. After moving to Toronto with husband Robert in 1976, she was an active congregant and served in several roles, first at St. Bonaventure in Don Mills and later as a Eucharistic Minister and President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Basil’s Church in Toronto. In 1978, Lucille received an Apostolic Benediction from his holiness Pope Saint Paul VI. Lucille will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Viewing will be held at Rosar Morrison Funeral Home (467 Sherbourne Street, Toronto) on Thursday November 15th, 2018 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, and Friday November 16th, 2018 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Services will be held at St. Basil’s Church (50 St. Joseph Street, Toronto) on Saturday November 17th at 2 PM.
