Lorraine passed away in her home at the Prince of Peace Manor at the age of 84 years. She was the loving mother of Wendy Wobst (Ric), Lori Christie and Bob Christie (Susan). She will also be dearly missed by her 5 Grandsons, Garett (Lisa), Kent (Jennifer), Jayson (Annie), Daniel (Tirza) and Kyle (Mona). ‘Grandma C’ was very special to her 5 Great-Grandchildren, Reagan & Avery Wobst, Jaxen & Levi Wobst and Draven Louden. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her parents Maurice & Amy Cocker and her sisters Dorothy, Mabel and Sylvia. She was born in Calgary where she lived most of her life except for a short time in Regina in her early 20’s. Lorraine was very proud of her successful career, for over 25 years, with the City of Calgary, culminating with the position of Executive Secretary in the Waterworks Division. When Lorraine wasn’t watching hockey, she loved reading her mystery novels, listening to all types of music, gardening, dabbling in ceramics with her daughters, shopping, the occasional casino visits and travelling to tropical locales for special family events. Lorraine very much enjoyed her time at the Prince of Peace Manor where she discovered a new passion for knitting, playing bingo & dominos with her friends. She will be fondly remembered for the time spent with her children and grandchildren, which was always her favorite thing to do.
