Obituary of Lorne McKeen
Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Friday morning, November 30th, 2018. Lorne Eldred McKeen, of Owen Sound, at the age of 92 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Joyce McKeen (nee Cook) for 69 years. Loving father of Bonnie Walker and her husband, Don, of Holland Landing and Brenda Dailey and her husband, Dave, of Georgian Bluffs. Proud grandfather of Jennifer Wilson (Paul) and Denise Thomson (Brandon) and great-grandfather of Alexa, Easton and Cora. Dear brother of Noreen Dillabough, of London and brother-in-law of Marlene Cook and Mary Hodgson (Ken), both of Owen Sound. Lorne will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Rae and Effie McKeen; his parents-in-law, George and Dorothy Cook; his brother-in-law, Bev Dillabough; his in-laws, Marguerite McNabb (Alex), Murray Cook and Bernice Cook. The family would like to thank the staff on 6-1 of the G.B.H.S. for the excellent care that was given to Lorne.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. A Funeral Service for Lorne McKeen will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Major David Kennedy officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Salvation Army or the Chapman House Hospice as an expression of sympathy.
