MILLAR, Lorne Pearcy
August 16, 1918 – 100 years old
Went peacefully home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
Lorne was predeceased by his wife Betty. He is survived by three children; Nancy Gee (David), Ruth Hanna and Tom Millar (Cora). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Stephen (Kate), Christopher (Kristina), Kristine (Shawn),James, Stephanie (Ross), John, Jenny, Katie (Trevor) and 15 great-grandchildren.
Lorne joined the Canadian Navy in 1941 as an officer and served on the HMCS Prince Henry, Dawson, Prince Rupert and La Malbaie. He was a member of the boards of the Ontario Bible College & Seminary, Shantymen’s Christian Association International and the Yonge Street Mission, and was an employee of Reed Stenhouse for 38 years.
A celebration of Lorne’s life will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 1pm. Private family interment has taken place.
