Lorne Dignean
Lorne Dignean died on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 92. Memories will comfort his beloved wife, June; his children, Bernice and husband Allan, Rodney and wife Wendie, Stanford and wife Bonnie, Mary and husband Perry, and their families; and the next generation, Nigel, Amy, Alice and Fox.
Lorne influenced generations as a teacher for over 35 years in schools around Saskatoon. He endowed a scholarship in his family name at Clavet School where he taught the longest. He was a faithful brother of multiple Masonic Lodges for more than 65 years. His legacy and love endure.
We thank the staff and residents of Luther Special Care Home who became his extended family. We are grateful to everyone who visited Lorne there–those visits made his day! We thank the staff of St. Paul’s Hospital for their loving care.
There will be no funeral at Lorne’s request. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice, take opportunities to help and care for one another and smile when you think of him.
