Sadly, we wish to announce the passing of Loretta, beloved wife of the late Jim Cowan, and mother of Wilson (Irene) Cowan, Lois (Ken) Ball, and Carolyn (predeceased) and Dave Crawford. Grandmother to Alicia, Katrina, Deanna (Ben), Brooke, Ryder, Colleen, Amanda (Jason), Lori (Nick), and David. Great grandmother to Nathan, Jordyn, Jessie, Ben, and Carolyn. Loretta enjoyed lively music, line dancing, square dancing, and all kinds of sports, especially hockey. She loved to travel and to entertain, filling her house with people and song on special occasions. Her family was a source of infinite joy to her, as were her gardens. She will be missed. May the love and song you shared here on earth, carry you in heaven. A heartfelt thank you to all of the nursing staff at Georgian Bay General Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Friday June 15, 2018 from 11 am until time of service in the chapel at 1 o’clock. Interment to follow at Lakeview cemetery. Memorial donations to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family if desired.
