Lois ‘s Obituary
SALT SPRINGS – Lois Colleen Kitson, 86, Salt Springs, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Daisy Mae and Rollie Feltmate. Lois was employed for over 30 years at the former Heather Motor Hotel, Stellarton, a career she greatly enjoyed, where she made many friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who dearly loved her family. Lois enjoyed looking after her family, home and flower garden. She was most happy seeing her grandchildren. Music and singing were prominent in her life, as was her kindness to animals. Lois will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Irving; son, Terry Kitson, Stellarton; daughters, Arlene (David) Robinson, Halifax; Robin (Mike Hessler) Kitson, Hammonds Plains; grandchildren, Connor (Jenny), Katie (Mike), Michael (Chandy) and Donny (Agata); great- grandchildren, Elliot and Nora; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Donna Pye, June Cosh and Kaye MacPherson; brothers, William “Bill” Davison and Granville Feltmate.
The family will receive visitors 1-1:50 p.m. Tuesday, September 11th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leon Teal officiating.
Donations may be made in memory of Lois to the West River Fire Department.
