Lois learned embroidery from her mum and the 4H club, an art that she enjoyed for many years. Family members were often the lucky recipients of ornate tablecloths and wall hangings featuring her beautiful and intricate handiwork. She liked to socialize with friends at her apartment building, and at the Gwen Sector and Riverview Day Programs. She especially enjoyed going out to eat or for coffee with family and special friends from the church. The Christian community of the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church has been very important to both Lois and David. The families of Lois and David are grateful for the spiritual and social support so generously given by the church community during this difficult period. A special thanks goes to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their attentive care of Lois.
