Linnea Jeanine Keizer (née Palsson) beloved wife of Jerry, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 83 years. She will be lovingly remembered by Jerry, her husband of 63 years; daughter, Carol Woloschuk (Ken); sons, Jim (Heather) and Glen (Nora Krueger); and grandchildren, Ryan Woloschuk, Braden Woloschuk, Allison Keizer, Jennifer Keizer, David Keizer, Amy Keizer and Megan Keizer; brothers, Jerry Palsson, Courtney Palsson, Randy Palsson; sister, Linda Gemmell (Ian); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her older brother, Roland Palsson. Linnea was born September 27, 1935 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan to Harry and Inga Palsson. She grew up in a loving family, first living in Saskatchewan, and then in the West Kootenays in BC. She was 18 when she met Jerry, and they were soon married on September 24, 1955. Her first job was with the Bank of Montreal where her attention to detail made her a star employee. She worked in other office jobs before she stayed home to take care of her children. When she went back to work she found a job she genuinely loved, as well as one where she was truly valued – that was her role as Church Secretary at The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. Linnea loved her family dearly, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had a kind and gentle nature, and also a surprisingly dry wit. She especially enjoyed painting, gardening and sewing, and if there was music playing, she was sure to be dancing. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of her Life to be held at The Lutheran Church of the Cross, 10620 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary, Alberta on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Cross Memorial Fund, or to Calgary Health Trust, 800, 11012 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, Alberta T2J 6A5.
