Leonard Ross Cobourn
October 10, 1940 – October 19, 2018
Ross passed peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg surrounded by his family, shortly after his 78th birthday. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy, Ross is survived by his brother Stan (Carol) Cobourn, his children Chris (Karen) Cobourn and Lyn (Joe) Handley and grandchildren Adam (Jaclyn) Cobourn, Sarah (Cam) Chapman, Jeffrey (Kendra) Cobourn, Ryan Handley, Colton Handley, Kiera Handley and great-granddaughter, Anna Cobourn.
Ross lived most of his life in Toronto before retiring from the TTC and moving to Ajax and then Cobourg. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and creating masterpieces with wood in his workshop at the cottage. In retirement, Ross learned Spanish and loved spending his winters in Mexico. Ross will always be remembered for his ‘joie de vivre’ and his wonderful sense of humour.
Ross will be deeply missed by his loving family and many devoted friends.
