surrounded by the love of her family. She was the daughter of Sarah Jane Salmon and William Curley and pre-deceased by her husband Lloyd Cain.Leona was married to her beloved husband of 68 years. They started their life on a small farm in North Onslow, moved to Ottawa and then settled in Aylmer, Quebec for 25 years. They spent most of their retired years back in their home community of Quyon, Quebec and finally returned to Ottawa to be close to their family. They raised and loved an amazing family. Her legacy is carried on into two more generations with 7 grandchildren; Amy (Teresa) of Vancouver, David (Sarah) of Montreal, James (Clare) of Ottawa, Andrew (Amy) of Metcalfe, Nathan (Sarah) of Toronto, Katie and Hannah of Kanata and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Leona was first and foremost a mom, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to play a joke, have a good game of cards, cook a meal or go out and shop. She loved the news stories of the Royals and was excited for the upcoming wedding. Along with being the center of the household, there was a time she worked for the Federal Government Taxation Centre. Most of all, Leona had the biggest heart and she will be greatly missed by all of us.
