It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leon Marchand with his family by his side at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on Thursday December 27th in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Wilhelmina Marchand (nee Overink). Loving father of Michael Marchand (Margaret), Linda Marchand, Louise Genier (Emile), Patricia Stubbing (Lyall), and Joseph Marchand. Cherished pépère of Chris, Michael, Alicia, Danielle, Amy, Andrew, Amanda, Christopher and Kyle. Grand pépère of Rylee, Simon, Lily, Brody, Ethan, Morgan and Thomas. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Wednesday January 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church on Thursday January 3rd at 10:30 a.m. Spring Interment, St. Ann’s Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
