Suddenly on December 12th at the Hamilton General Hospital after heart surgery in his 76th year. Cherished husband of Mary for over 43 years. Loving father of Marie Jarvis (Pete), Michelle Brunato (Frank), Marcel Leclerc (Ange) and Anna Maria. Proud nono of Grant, Erin, Patrick, Marcel Jr., and Martin. Dear brother of Greg (Angelina), Leonardo (Franca), Marisa (Paul) and Bianca. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his extended family, friends and loved ones especially his napping and snacking partner Jack. Franco was a longtime employee of Norton Abrasives. He was an avid outdoors man and spent most of his free time in nature hunting, fishing and sailing. When indoors enjoyed watching the Murdoch Mysteries alongside Mary. A special thank you to Dr. Lamy and the staff of the I.C.U on 3 West at the General. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON (905-527-0405) on Saturday December 15th at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
