OBITUARY
Kim Elizabeth Hansen
March 24, 1963 – December 10, 2018
Kim Elizabeth Hansen AKA Mouse Passed away on December 10, 2018 at the Monashee Mews in Lumby, BC. A celebration of her life will be held on July 1st weekend in Fruitvale, BC and a private ceremony will be held by family at a date TBA.
Kim was born in Vancouver BC on March 24, 1963 and spent most of her life in and around the Kootenays. Her greatest love was animals and she had a special gift with them. She was once offered a chance to apprentice at the Calgary Zoo because of her special gifts. She was able to speak to them in a way that had them eating out of her hand not soon after they met, and she often said she trusted them more than people.
She was a free spirit who danced to the beat of her own drum and with her gypsy spirit she travelled across Canada with the carnival and met many people and friends along the way. Her amazing sense of humor and honesty were a trademark and she never missed a chance to tease those she loved. She will be missed by her family and friends and we only hope she has found the peace she so desperately searched for in this life but could never find.
Kim is survived by Laurel Healy (mom), Heather Cullen (sister), Darcy Deleew (son), Grandson Brandon, and Darcy’s father Les (Moon) Deleew as well as Nephews David Lawrence, Michael, Robert and Samual Wilson. Also included are her 2 sisters (not by birth but by love) Brenda & Allison Townsend and her many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention but who also loved her very much.
Kim is preceded in death by her father Stanley Ralph Hansen, her grandparents Olga & Reginal Handley and her sister Sheila Townsend. She is also preceded by the greatest love of her life, Kenny Brisco; a love which she never truly got over.

The family wished to thank the Monashee mews for all the love, support and care they have given Kim over the years. They helped to give her a home which she so needed.
