Kevin Joseph Fitzpatrick
1969-2018
Kevin was a
humble and kind man. He was a father who cherished his children, a
brother who was sincere and caring, a friend who was loyal to the end,
and a son who was respectful and gentle.
Alberta was home for Kev for the last 23 years. His
two children, Raeanne and Sully, kept him in the West but he always
felt the pull of The Island, in particular, Montague. This feeling is
reflected in one of his favourite songs “My Hometown” by
Bruce Springsteen. As much as he missed the East Coast, Alberta was a
space that allowed him to enjoy the outdoors and find peace in the
mountains.
Loved ones who led the path for
Kev are his father Raymond and his brother Gary. Loved ones who will
miss Kev until their paths cross again are his mother Mary (Sullivan),
his daughter Raeanne and her mother Tammy, his son Sullivan and his
mother Heather, his siblings Anne (Brian Rector), Joan Dixon, John
(Lesa), Rae (Patrick Murphy), Patricia, Jane (Carl Evans), Heather,
Shawn, his sister-in-law Leona (Boyd Munn), his aunts and uncle, and
his nieces and nephews.
Kev will make his final trip
home to PEI and his life will be honored at a funeral mass to be held
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Montague, on Friday, November
23rd at 11:00 with interment in the church cemetery. If desired,
donations may be made to a charity of personal choice in
Kev’s name.
