Obituary of Kenneth McConnell
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Ken was born and raised in Lawson, Saskatchewan. After three years in the Air Force he worked for many years selling wholesale building supplies, specializing in windows and doors. Upon retirement, he worked for the Saskatchewan Corps of Commissionaires for seventeen years. Ken’s love of woodworking and gardening was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. He leaves to mourn, his wife of sixty one years Evelyn; children, Brent (Linda), Brenda (Scott) Kirk, and Jace (Kate); grandchildren, Luke (Joy), Cameron (Stephanie), Amanda, Ryan (Sara), Alyssa (Tyler), Connor, Cullen, and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Norman, Owen, Olliver, and Fynn; sisters, Betty, Myrna, Phyllis (Keith), Wilda and Linda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by infant daughter Leanne; parents, Stewart and Helen McConnell; brothers Jack and Ray; sisters, Juanita, Mildred, Maxine (Mike), Delores and Shirley. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ken’s name to the charity of your choice.
