February 15, 1935 – May 23, 2018
A lifelong resident of Cambridge, Ken passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at his home. Husband, father, grandpa, friend, neighbour, avid snow shoveller and a well known mason contractor in the area for over 60 years. Ken was passionate about the weekly Euchre games at the Hespeler Legion and cribbage games with his siblings. He was a member of Saint Luke’s United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion.
Beloved husband of Carol Dahmer, loving father of Carol, Nancy (Martin), Chris (Steph), and Matt (Nicky). Cherished grandpa of Justin (Nicole), Jessica (Zach), Chad, Mollie, Garrisen, Grant, Alex and also great grandpa to Logan. Dear brother of Carl and brother-in-law of Barbara (John) Ready. Predeceased by his parents, Wesley and Vera Dahmer and siblings John, Russell, Margaret, Mary Anne, Earl and Betty.
Ken’s family will welcome friends and relatives at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Thursday, May 31st, 2018 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held at New Hope Cemetery 235 Cooper Street Cambridge on Friday, June 1st, 2018 at 11:00am. In memory of Ken memorial donations may be made to Saint Luke’s United Church or Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
