IGOE (COWLEY),
Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Kathleen (Cowley) Igoe occurred on July 20, 2018. Born in Northampton, England, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dora (Munns) Cowley.
She is survived by her sister Mary Beck (Wally) of Befordshire, England; six children, Elizabeth Igoe Crompton of Grand Manan NB, Caroline Igoe of Fredericton NB, Susan (Martin) Abenheimer of Sydney NS, James (Connie) of Digby NS, Barbara Horsman, and Cathy (John) Connelly of St. Stephen NB; her sister-in-law Maureen Cowley; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Leonard (Florence), Lionel, Ronald, and William (Marjorie); her sister Grace (Les); and several nephews.
There will be no visitation at Kathleen’s request. A private family gathering will be held immediately, followed by a memorial service at Trinity Anglican Church in Digby, NS this fall and the date and time of the service will be announced. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Fredericton or the Digby Food Bank. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Sainz and the staff of the Hospice Fredericton for their kind and loving care of Kathleen during the last few days of her life.
