OBITUARY
Katherine Lockhart
December 30, 1925 – October 1, 2018
With sadness, the family of Katherine Lockhart (Tiechrew) announces her passing on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Foothills Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 92 years.
Born December 30, 1925, on the family farm, in the Gronlid, SK area to Peter and Suzanna Tiechrew. Kay was the 6th of eight children. She worked several jobs throughout Saskatchewan until she married and moved to Lacombe, Aberta. In 1953 Kay relocated to Bowness, AB, and then Calgary for the duration of her life.
Left to mourn her passing is her loving family – Kaytee (Doug) Losche; James (Doris) Lockhart; Richard (Sandra) Lockhart; Colleen (Cliff) Pollon; Thomas (Jan) Lockhart; Wayne Lockhart and Joanne (Darcy) Duncan; as well as her sisters Margaret Ratz, Regina and Martha Stalker, Calgary. Mom has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild whom loved and cherised with all her heart. Kay was predeceased by daughter Vivian, 1957 and son Norman, 2016; as well as her parents; brothers Jake; John (Pauline); Abe (Alice); sisters Mary (Henry)Nickel; Suzanna (Harold) Wickwire.
Mom was a very hard working mother who provided for her family in every way; she was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed every family gathering that involved food. Into retirement, mom loved to play Bingo. Mom travelled many places with family and friends, including Florida, Vegas, Reno, Hawaii several times and many trips to Creston, BC and Saskatchewan to visit siblings.
Kay, Tina, Mom will be forever loved and very much missed by all of her family and friends.
No formal service will be held.
