Life Legacy
O’BRIEN, Karin Katharina (Dziezyk)- On Saturday June 16, 2018 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 64. They say how we meet our end is as important as how we’ve lived our lives. If this is true, then Karin has earned a special place in the afterlife, for she gave Death a fight he’ll never forget. Though bone cancer ultimately claimed her life, her spirit never once surrendered. Predeceased by her mother Elly Dziezyk and father Boleslaw Dziezyk, Karin’s legacy is embodied in her family. She lives on through her sons, Robert Hookey and his wife Jackaline, and Ryan Hookey and his wife Sonya. Grandchildren Sarah, Elly, Xaviera, Victoria and Sophie. Anyone wishing to honour our mother’s memory can do so by telling the people around them what they mean to them, or by extending a hand in friendship to a neighbour or a non-threatening stranger.
