Karen Eloise Coleman
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karen Eloise Coleman (nee McLeod) on Monday May 21th, 2018 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 68. Loving mother of Kenneth and Sarah. Cherished sister of Russell (Karon) and Mary Ann. Predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Kathleen. Karen will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Karen was an innovative and devoted educator who taught high school for 33 years, greatly impacting the lives of
the students she taught. A longtime member of the Ontario Teachers’ Federation, Karen held a B.A. in English from McMaster University and a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday May 26th, 2018 at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home –
Ancaster Chapel, 378 Wilson Street East, Ancaster. (905) 648-3852. Funeral service will be held after visitation at 12 pm. Reception to follow funeral. Internment on Monday May 28th, 2018 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1895 Main Street West, Hamilton. (905) 528-1128. Donations in memory of Karen can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
