Obituary of Judy Mayhew
MAYHEW, Judy Alice – Suddenly at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at the age of 65 years. Beloved wife of John Mayhew for 46 years. Cherished mother of Priscilla Parent (Glenn), Robert Mayhew, Alicea Boere (Gary) and the late Lawrence “Sonny”. Mayhew. Proud Kookum of Allie, Riley, Ryden “Happy”, Shawna, Cameron, Cary and Carson. Daughter of the late Larry and Alice Peever. Dear sister of late Colleen Guertin (Ron), late Alma Bucknell (Willie), Isobel Peever (Barry Clatworthy), Joyce Taylor (Brian). Judy will be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Judy was very involved in her community. She was a counsellor for the Hornepayne First Nation, a former chief of the band, and along with her husband, she was the owner of several local business’ in Hornepayne . A visitation will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Deacon Isabel Dubé officiating. Interment at the Hornepayne Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Hornepayne Community Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
