Obituary Overview
Judith Sui Fong Chin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Judy, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2018.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and May Hong and her loving husband, Raymond Chin.
Judy is survived by her sons, David Chin (Margaret Choy), Daniel Chin (Linda Lee), Donald Chin (Grace Lee) and her grandchildren Benjamin (Kanrawee Taotawin), Breanna, Brendan, Alexander, Adrian, Christopher and Michelle.
Judy was born on March 25, 1936 in Toy San, Oh Fook Que, Bok Seq., China, and immigrated to Canada in 1956. She married the love of her life, Raymond, in Montreal in 1957. Judy and Raymond lived in quite a few cities (Montreal, Halifax, Windsor, Comox) before settling in Winnipeg in 1966. Judy worked as a seamstress at Eaton’s and Sears for many years before retiring. Her interests were sewing, cooking, visiting her grandchildren and traveling with her grandchildren during the summer vacation months. In the later years, she especially enjoyed her Vancouver trips, visiting friends and relatives. Her last happiest moment was seeing pictures and videos of her grandson, Benjamin, getting married in Thailand.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB followed by interment in Glen Eden Cemetery.
