OBITUARY
Joyce Donalda Marzec
17 April , 1928 – 4 May , 2018
(nee Knights) Passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, her Saviour, on May 4, 2018 at age 90. Beloved wife of Rev. Cyprian (Cy) Marzec, married 63 years. Beloved mother of Kendall (Esther) Judd, Janine Marzec, Phil (Laura) Marzec, Elaine Marzec (Owen Emery). Cherished grandmother of Sean Marzec (Jessica Bondy), Joanna (Jevon) Kimmerly -Smith, Matthew, Brendan, Jeremy, Kathleen and Kristina Judd. Predeceased by her father, Frank Knights and mother, Stella Knights as well as her brothers Orville and Harold. Joyce will be mourned by her siblings Bruce (Milly) Knights, Jean Thompson, Don Knights, Helen (Gerry) Rogers and Bernice (Murray) Graves. Joyce will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and her church friends at Roseland-Trinity United Church.
Born in Ravenshoe, York County, Ontario on April 17, 1928, Joyce grew up on the home farm. She attended Toronto Bible College and after marrying Cy. She actively supported her husband in ministry in the United Church of Canada in Saskatchewan and Ontario. Joyce received her certificate as an RNA and worked as a nurses assistant. Joyce loved birds, gardening, growing flowers, and enjoyed cooking, and crochet. Most of all she loved her family. Her joyful laughter was infectious. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E. 519-252-5711).
