Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Antoinette (née Sawaya) Saikali. Much loved father of Donny (Anne), Darlene, Darcy (Beth) and Diane. Caring step-father of Melhem Chaar (Zeina), Nicolas Chaar (Eliane) and Rita (Rony Assaf). Cherished grandfather (Jiddo) of Christopher, Mathew, Brandon, Patrick and Natasha Saikali; Christina, Patrick, Nathalie, Anthony, Brando and Cristiano Chaar; Celina and Alexei Assaf. Dear son of late Naif and Habica (née Nesrallah). Dear brother of Nancy-Nazha (Ben Bergeron), Josephine (late Martial Lacroix), the late Georges, late Nazih and late Marie (late Salim Saikali). The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Rd., Ottawa. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive. Ottawa. Burial at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank St., Ottawa (Gloucester), will follow. In memory of Joseph, donations to St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral would be appreciated.
