Jose Aguiar
Passed away on December 6, 2018
Passed away peacefully on December 6, 2018 at Elisabeth-Bruyere Hospital at the age of 73. Son of the late John Mathias Aguiar and the late Maria Baptista. He leaves in sorrow his beloved wife Virginia Aguiar (nee Valente), his loving son Roberto, his cherished grandchildren Jonathan, Anthony, Paryssa and Fabiana and his great-grandson Liam. He also leaves in sorrow his siblings Belmira, Guilhermina, Maria, Sesar and Ilda, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his son Duarte Jose, his brothers Gilbert and John. The family would like to thank the staff at Elisabeth-Bruyere and Civic Hospital for the excellent care provided. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday December 10, 2018 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday December 11, 2018 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Noon at Senhor Santo Cristo Church (1100 Kenaston Street, Ottawa). In Memory of Mr. Aguiar, donations to the Bruyere Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
