John Samuel Vallis
It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Samuel Vallis announces his sudden passing at his home in Coomb’s Cove on Friday, November 30, 2018, in his 85th year.
He leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Anne; daughters, Kim (Roland) at Boxey and Jackie (Conrad) at Grand Falls-Windsor; son, Alvin (Sandy) at Coomb’s Cove; grandchildren, Bradley (Alisha), Kayla (Jason), Trevor, Hillary, Randy and Jared (Jessica and Carter); great grandchildren, Jareth, Aleera, Cashton and Izak; sisters, Hilda (Philip) at Belleoram and Marion (Aubrey) at Burgeo; brother, Howard (Barbara) at Halifax; sisters in law, Theresa at Coomb’s Cove, Joyce (Wayne) at Mose Ambrose, Elizabeth (Ron) at English Harbour West, Bernice (Tom) at Harbour Breton, Grace (John) at Ontario, Beth (Grand Bank), Ethel Mary at Grand Falls-Windsor and Eliza at Bishop’s Falls; brothers in law, Don (Ada) at Jacques and Frank at Halifax; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Priscilla Vallis; brothers, Willard and Eric; parents in law, Patrick and Susan Skinner; step father in law, Robert Whitten; brothers in law, Patrick, George and Gordon Skinner.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Holy Trinity Church at Coomb’s Cove with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating and assistant, Charlie Cox. Organist will be Darlene Royle. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Coomb’s Cove.
