It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of John Joseph Cyr on December 2nd, 2018 at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, NS. He was born in Saint John on April 3, 1954 to Theresa Arsenault and was the loving partner to Doris Howard.
In addition to his partner Doris, John will be fondly remembered by his former spouse Judy Cyr, two daughters; Alicia and Amanda, 2 grandchildren; Avery and Leah, brothers; Arthur (Faye) and Phillip (Rita), sisters; Geraldine Clark and Diane Cyr, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Ivan “Joe” Cyr.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Cremation will take place and services for John will be held in the spring or summer months. For those who wish, remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
