Mr. John James Barker entered into rest suddenly at his home in Val-d’Or, Quebec on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in his 61st year. Leaving to mourn his mother Alfreda, Gander NL; son Burton, North Bay ON; daughter Kimberley (Henry) , Kashechewan ON; brother Steven , Ottawa ON ; sister Christina (Austin) Harty, Fort MacMurray AB; sister Josephine (Graham) Sheppard, Cornwall ON ; sister–in-law Carolyn Barker, Milton NL ; grandchildren John, Adam, Henry, Arizona, Logan, Burton Jr and Ava; a large family of aunts , uncles, nieces and nephews, and many friends and acquaintances throughout Northern Ontario, Northern Quebec and Newfoundland. Predeceased by his father John (Jack) Barker and brother Paul.
Relatives and friends are invited for the visitation that will take place on Sunday July 1st 2018 from 7h to 9h pm at:

In accordance with wishes of John and his family cremation will take place and a Memorial service and internment will take place at later date at the Sacred Heart Church and Open Hall Cemetery, Open Hall NL.
