Obituary of John (Jack) Borland
BORLAND- John (Jack) Peter formerly of Port Colborne passed away at the Woodlands of Sunset in Welland on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Lorna (née Marks) for 57 years, loving father of Brent (Nancy) Borland, the late Kim (2012) (Randy Farr) and Brad (Brenda) Borland, dear grandfather of Brandy, Paula, Tiffany, Angelina and Dakota Borland, Shawna and Casey Farr, brother of the late Ron (Jean) Borland (1998), Anne (Jim) White, the late Joan (John) Lennie (2017), Linda (Danny) Duquette and Sandy (the late Herb) (2012) Hockings. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his parents Peter and Agnes Borland. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlands of Sunset for their loving care of Jack and our family during this hard time. The Borland family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. and on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Davidson Chapel. Burial will follow at Overholt Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #56 or Woodlands of Sunset.
