Obituary for
John “Eddy” Edward Surette
SURETTE, John Edward “Eddy” – age 90 formerly of Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away in Bayside Home in Barrington on September 8, 2018. Born September 6, 1928 in Belleville, Yarmouth Co., he was a son of the late Louie and Marie (DeViller) Surette. Eddy was a member Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brooklyn where he was a caretaker and church usher for 32 years. He was employed with Dominion Textiles for 17 years and Bonda Inc for 17 years before retiring. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Eddy was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years “Nonie” Surette; father and mother in law, Frances and Franklyn Garron; 5 brothers in laws and 5 sisters in laws; 1 sister, 3 brothers, 3 nephews, and 1 niece. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Sunday September 9, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Monday September 10 at 11 a.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
