Service Details
Mr. John Chester of Carnduff, SK. passed away at the Sunset Haven Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 80.
After graduating from high school in Carnduff, John worked in the oil industry. He spent some years attending university. He then moved to Ottawa to work for the Federal Government. He eventually moved to Beaverlodge, AB. where he continued to work for the government. He moved back to Carnduff and spent a great deal of his time helping out his parents until they passed away. He continued to live on his own and eventually lived out his remaining years at the Sunset Haven in Carnduff.
John is survived by two brothers, Donovan of Regina and Leonard of Toronto; his first cousin, Faye Walker of Alida; aunt Beatrix Horn of St. Thomas, Ontario; numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Thomas E. and Pearl (Horn) Chester.
A public graveside service for John will be held at the Carnduff Cemetery, Carnduff, SK. on Canada Day, Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Donations in memory of John may be given to the Huntington Society of Canada, 151 Frederick Street, Suite 400, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 2M2.
