John Daniel MacDonald – Long Point
MacDonald John Daniel 76, of Long Point, died November 22, 2017 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Black River, Inverness County, he was a son of the late Angus Archie ad Sara Agnes (Gillis) MacDonald.
John Dan was a longtime caretaker of the Troy Trailer Court and was employed for many years as a pulp cutter with R. L. Cotton Lumber Company.
He is survived by his son Evan (Shauna), Dryden Ontario; grandson Dominic, granddaughter Sara, brothers Ronnie, Francis, both of Boston; Cecil, Mabou; and Jimmy, Boston; sisters Elda MacLean, Toronto; Margie MacDonald McCarthy, West Lake Ainslie; Lexie MacDonald, Judique; Jessie MacDonald, Victoria B.C.; John Dan will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandson Callum John, brother Dougald Joseph and nephews Wesley Elms.
Cremation has taken place , a graveside service will be held Friday July 27 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mabou
Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
