Obituary of Joan Low
Joan Charlotte Low, 84 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on December 29, 2017 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Joan was a very special little lady who loved to laugh and loved unconditionally. She was an avid bowler and missed her bowling friends terribly once she could no longer bowl. She had a love for Bingo like no other; and she rarely missed attending the Farrell Hall Bingo over the past 50 + years. She loved children and after raising her own three she started working as a lunch monitor at North Woodside School and did so for many years.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Walter and Jenny Hussey and her siblings
She is survived by her children Heather, Paul (Heather), Joe (Jeannie) Low, 2 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
She will especially be missed by her daughter Heather; they were always side by side and best friends who enjoyed each other’s company immensely. Joan developed dementia in her later years but with the loving care of Heather and Joe she was able to remain at home.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held Friday January 5, 2018 at the Amalgamated Transit Union Hall at 30 Rosedale Drive Dartmouth starting at 6:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joan
