Joan Walker
1936-2018
Peacefully at the Riverview Manor on Thursday, May 3, 2018
the passing of Joan Walker, age 81 occurred with family by her side.
Born in Little Pond,September 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the
late Herbert and Agnes (Fay) Murphy. Joan will be sadly missed by her
children Hal (Vicki), Kathy(Lloyd) King, Rick (Stephany), Kelly
Publicover; grandchildren, Alicia, Kayla, Mallory, Marcus, Nicholas,
Jonathan, Morgan; great grandchildren Kieran, Lennon; brothers Gerald
(Mary) Murphy, Joe (Patsy) Murphy. She was predeceased by her 1st
husband Harold Publicover and 2nd husband James Walker; brother Herb
(Lorna); son-in-law Marcel Therien.
Joan was a
lifetime member of the CWL and for many years with the Red Cross Water
Safety, as well as the Girl Guides of Canada.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on
Sunday from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Mass to take place at the St. James
Catholic Church, Georgetown on Monday, May 7th at 2:30 pm. Interment
to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Donations to St. James Cemetery or
the Riverview Manor Residents Fund.
