MERSON, Joan Marguerite (Frost-Baker)
Of Lower Sackville, was called home to the Lord suddenly on Friday, November 30, 2018. She was born on November 24, 1945, a daughter of the late Marion Francis Baker and Samuel Baker. She was predeceased by her infant great-granddaughter, Ivory and sister-in-law, Linda Kline. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert “Bob” Merson who took great care of her and loved her unconditionally; her children who will miss her deeply and hold her close to their hearts; Keith Boulegon (Michelle), Donna Boulegon-Doiron (Tim); step-son, Kerry Merson (Amanda); her cherished grandchildren, Jeffery, Amanda, Ashley, Brandon and her new great-granddaughter, Amelia; sister, Donna McLean; brother, Tommy Baker and sisters-in-law, Betty Coughran and Pat McGarry; special friend, Lauren and the group at the Seniors Club at Knox Church every Thursday afternoon. Joan worked in the food service industry all her life, finally retiring from Jimmy Deans, Lower Sackville. Those who knew Joan loved her kind heart and spirit. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6 from 1-2 p.m. followed immediately with a Memorial Service in the Chapel of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia would be appreciated. Online condolences may be sent to www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com Sackville Chapel.
