Joan Ann MacGillivray
1944-2018
MacGillivray, Joan
Ann, 73, of Maryvale, Antigonish Co., passed away on
January 18, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish, after a brief and courageous battle with
cancer.
Born in Antigonish, she was a
daughter of the late Ronald and Christine (Chisholm)
MacLellan.
Family was the most important
thing to Joan, and she loved spending time with her children,
grandchildren, and extended family.
She is survived by her daughters
Donna, Maryvale and Lisa (Andre) Benoit, Maryvale; grandchildren,
Vanessa, Kaylyn, and Colleen; siblings Murdock, Antigonish, Mary Agnes
(Hugh) MacLeod, Port Hawkesbury; Josephine (David) MacLeod, Arlington,
Mass.; Charlotte (Alexander) Campbell, Avon, Mass.; Florence (James)
MacEachern, Antigonish.
Predeceased by her husband Donnie
and brother Donald.
Visitation will be held on Monday
from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in C. L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St.,
Antigonish, NS. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am on Tuesday
in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Arisaig, NS, Reverend Donald
MacGillivray presiding. Burial at a later
date.
