Jessie Haggarty (nee Demanski)
It is with deep sadness that the family of Jessie Haggarty (nee Demanski) announces her passing at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg, on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the age of 93 years.
Jessie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karl (Gwenn), Kathy (Scott) and Shelley (Robert). Also mourning her loss are her sisters Lorraine and Nellie, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jessie was pre-deceased by her daughter Karen, her husband Edgar Matthews, the father of her children – Earl Haggarty, and siblings Bernice, Johnny, Stan, Karl, and Walter.
Jessie will always be remembered for her positive nature, her strength of character and her ability to look for the best in people.
A very special thank you goes to the staff at the Grace Hospice for the care and friendship shown to Jessie during her stay there. We were blessed to have benefitted from this kindness.
A private service of remembrance was held for Jessie in Winnipeg at Chapel Lawn on Friday, December 7, 2018.
At Jessie’s request donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
