The death of Jarvis Blair Bryenton, husband of Susie (MacGarvie) Bryenton of Boom Road, NB, occurred at his residence on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 89. Born in Miramichi, NB, Jarvis was the son of the late Marshall and Arabella (Bella) (Mullin) Bryenton.
For many years, Jarvis was a self- employed barber. He was an avid fly fisherman, artist and also a member of the Sunny Corner Lions Club.
Besides his wife Susie, Jarvis is survived by one daughter: Julie McKibbon (Bob) of Boom Road, NB, one son: Marshall of Miramichi, NB, one brother: Jack of Cassilis, NB; five grandchildren: Marsha Roy, Martin Bryenton, Phillip Bryenton (Cherie), Derrick McKibbon and Nancy Thomson (Greg); eight great grandchildren: Toren and Shale Roy, Cadain, Coltan and Ashlyn Bryenton, Brock, Eva and Wes Thomson and several nieces and nephews.
Jarvis is predeceased by four sisters: Blanche Somers (Hugh), Lula Somers (Harry), Kay McKenna (Earl) and Beatrice Johnson (Newt); five brothers: Leslie, Carl, Charlie, Billy (Jennie) and Kenneth.
Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home on Sunday form 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen’s United Church, Red Bank, NB on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev.Geza Szemök officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Stephen’s United Church Cemetery later in the spring.
In Jarvis’s memory a donation to the St. Stephen’s United Church General Fund or the NB Extra Mural Program would be appreciated.
