Janna A. (Jurjens) Gerrits
1933-2018
Janna A. (Jurjens) Gerrits – 85, daughter of the late Klaas
and Niclasina Jurjens passed away peacefully on November 30, 2018 at
the Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. Born in Ane, Netherlands,
she is survived by her husband, Albert Gerrits and her children,
Bernard (Renee) Gerrits; daughter-in-law, Bernadine Gerrits, Jane
(Gerald) Kamphuis, Henk (Bev) Gerrits, Albert (Annette) Gerrits Jr.,
Anita Gerrits; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her son, Klaas Gerrits. She is also survived by her
sister, Mina Vanderveen (Netherlands). She had a great love for her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved listening
to music, enjoyed flowers and having company. She had a compassionate
heart and showed that by visiting the sick and elderly and by seeking
out those who needed a loving hug. Her quick wit and unexpected
comments often brought a good laugh. She knew how to have fun. She is
now at peace and in the loving arms of Jesus. Visitation will be held
Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at White Family Funeral
Home, Kentville. A private burial service will be held in the Canard
Burial Ground, Upper Canard, Kings County. Funeral service will be
held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Canard Community
Church, 1315 Hwy 341 Upper Canard N.S. Donations in memory may be made
to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the Heart and
Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line
