Obituary for
James “Jamie” Burns
Burns; “Jamie” James Patrick
Suddenly, at his residence in Flesherton, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in his 57th year. Beloved son of June Burns-McCabe and the late Jim Burns. Loving father of Josh(Danielle Nosworthy) of Orangeville and Dustin(Ashleigh Macdonald) of Markdale. Loved and remembered by grandson Lucas. Dear uncle of Tamie Burns, Cassandra and Nathan Sweers. Predeceased by sister Annemarie Burns.
Jaime was born in Scarborough, Ontario to June and Jimmy Burns. At a young age he grew a passion for all sports. After he finished high school in Flesherton, he set out to travel, even skiing some of the biggest hills in the Swiss Alps. He adored being a father and taught his boys all about sports and the outdoors; taking them camping, skiing, fishing, hunting, playing hockey and golf. Jamie was a self-employed contractor and was great at his job. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
A celebration of Jamie’s life will take place at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton, on Saturday, November 10 from 2:00-4:00pm with a time of sharing memories at 2:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Flesherton Minor Hockey would be gratefully appreciated. Online donations and condolences at www.fawcettfuneralhome.ca 888-924-2810
