James LeRoy Rayner

The death occurred peacefully at the Community Hospital,
O’Leary on Friday, April 20, 2018, with his loving family by his side,
of James LeRoy Rayner, of Central Kildare, P.E.I. age 84 years.
Beloved husband to the late Betty Phyllis Rayner, who predeceased him
in 2016. Born at Greenmount, on April 17, 1934, he was the
son of the late Russell J. and Vera (nee Ramsay)
Rayner.
Lovingly remembered by his children, Lee (Heather) of Central
Kildare; Katherine (Dwight) Berry of Elmsdale; Carol (late Dwayne)
Steeves of Saint John, N.B.; Doreen (Jeffery) Lewis of Elmsdale;
Gordon (Heather) of Montrose; Wendell (Lisa) of Central Kildare;
Brenda (Charles) Edgar of Salisbury N.B.; Barbara (late Gerald)
Douthwright of Salisbury N.B.; and James (Nicole) of South
Kildare.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Vernon Rayner,
Kenneth Rayner, Daniel Rayner, Robert Rayner, Amanda Berry, Andrea
Berry, Alyssa Diamond, Allison Berry, Naomi Steward, Nathasha Prados,
Nicole Ramesar, Nathan Steeves, Kevin Lewis, Duska Boyd, Dianne
Coomer, Aaron Rayner (deceased), Timothy Rayner, Rebekah Rayner,
Hannah Rayner, Charity Rayner, Rachel Chu, Tammy Albert, Vicki Coomer,
Connie Edgar, Christina Edgar, Colleen Edgar, Randy Edgar (deceased),
Kayla Edgar, Blake Edgar, Collin Rayner, Emma Bartlett and Sydni
Rayner. He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren, and by
his brother Carlyle Rayner.
He was predeceased by his brother, Irvin
Rayner.
Forwarded on Saturday from the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton,
to the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Alberton, for visiting hours 6:00
to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 11:00 until time of funeral service
at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Gilbert Pearson officiating.
Interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery Foy
Road.
Reception to follow at the Alberton Baptist Fellowship
Hall.
