Obituary of James “Jim” Read
James “Jim” E. Read passed away peacefully in his 91st year at Chez Nous Senior Citizen’s Home in Moose Jaw on Tuesday August 21, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Georgina Read; his wife, Lila; and sisters, Ruby (Jack) Harlton and Edith (Grant) Prentice. James leaves to mourn his four children, Tom (Val) of Burnaby, BC, Bob (Terry) of Bethune, SK, Martin (Shelley) of Kamloops, BC and Jane (Tom) Cochrane of Blue Springs, Missouri; his ten grandchildren, Kyla, Tyerel, Mark (Mabel), Nicole, Dawn, Amber (Riley), Kanda, Chris, Ellie (Alysabeth) and Nate (Taryn); his six great-grandchildren, Leto, Desiree, Carter, Debbie Ann, Nevaeh and Lincoln. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in Jim’s name to the Bethune Cemetery Fund, PO Box 172, Bethune, SK, S0G 0H0 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
