James Clark 19402018

James Clark
1940-2018
James R (Bud) Clark passed away peacefully surrounded by
family at Oromocto Public Hospital, on April 27, 2018.
Bud was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Coralie
Clark; by his partner of 14 years, Mary Walker; his parents James R
and Lillian Clark of Dartmouth, NS; brothers David and Donald; and
sister Carole. He survived by his two sons Tim (Cathy) and Jim
(Shoshanna); grandchildren Kristina, Michael, Scott, Greg, Johnathan,
Kelvin; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Gerine Ball (Ralph), and Sharon
Neveu; brother-in-law Herbert Hoelke; sister-in-law Maizie McInnis;
many nieces and nephews; and extended Walker family.
Born and raised in Imperoil (Dartmouth NS) he left to join
the army, completing training at RHRC (Black Watch) Depot in Sus
NB, where he met his bride. He served with 2 Bn of the Black Watch in
CFB Gagetown and Germany. On the stand down of the Black Watch, he
re-badged to 2 RCR where he served until 1984. Civic minded, Bud
served as a town counsellor and Deputy Mayor. An avid hunter
and angler he spent many hours in the back woods of Sus and the
Gagetown training area. Those hobbies were supplanted in part when he
took up golf in 1976 and was a continuous member of the Gage Golf and
Curling Club serving for five years as the Greens Chairman overseeing
many improvements to the course. Bud also enjoyed travel, especially
when golf was involved and enjoyed many great spring trips to the
Carolinas and Florida.
A celebration of life will be held at the Oromocto Funeral
Home Tuesday, 1 May at 2 pm. Internment will be in his home town of
Dartmouth NS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
The Clark family would like to thank the amazing staff on the
Duffie Ward at the Oromocto Public Hospital for their support
throughout his stays there.
